The film is about a woman who was experiencing despair Lilian (Julia Stile) hoping for help from a former carpenter Lester (Anthony Hopkins), the only person in town they would have the guts enough to help him fight someone behaving strangely that continues to follow named Blackway (Ray Liotta). Blackway is a former cop who turns into a source of crime in the city.
